Our Services: Skilled Nursing

RMG Health Skilled Nursing Services are for members who are under the care of a physician for a chronic illness, medical condition and/or the associated co-morbidities or disability. Services are as ordered by client physician.

Private Duty Nursing (PDN)

RMG Health LLC private duty nurses (LPN/LVN/RN/APN/NP) provide individualized care to recovering patients. Services are also available to patients in advance of a scheduled surgery. These services include: 1. Nursing Care 2. Administration of medications, treatments, dressings, and other nursing services, according to physician's instructions and condition of patient (exclusive of private sitter services) 3. Observation, evaluation, and recording of symptoms 4. Application of emergency measures to counteract adverse developments and notify physician of patient's condition 5. Directing patient in good health habits 6. Giving information to family in treatment of patient and maintenance of healthful environment 7. Maintenance of equipment and supplies 8. Cooperating with community agencies to furnish assistance to patient 9. Diet supervision when contracted to private homes, and 10. Obstetrics, psychiatry, or tuberculosis services.

Nursing Service Benefits:

Our services have its benefits. These include: 1. Provision of nurses who are always there to assist the patient move in bed, getting up to stretch, etc. and thus controlling for complications such as emboli and pneumonia (from lack of activity) 2. Empowering patient control over pain management; especially those receiving PCAs (patient control analgesia: self administered pain medications). We provide the nausea management (the inevitable result of pain medications) if needed. 3. Assisting the patient to the bathroom (and monitoring continence as needed) 4. Assuring timely dressing changes for surgical wounds as would reduce chances for infection; we teach the patient how to manage his/her wound 5. Advocating for the patient and answering questions that may arise; these include relaying questions the care recipient may not know how to express, etc.

How to be Eligible for Skilled Nursing:

Skilled Home Nursing Care clients are required to: Have an on-going medical supervision and orders from a physician Live in a reasonably safe home environment with a responsible person available to assist if necessary Have need of home healthcare.

Private Duty Service Plans:

Private Duty Home Nursing Care PlanThese include: Does not require a physician's order Patient/family is responsible for all charges Service can range from 4 hours at a time to 24 hours; from occasional to continuous care Deposit equal to two week's care is required and applied to the last invoice Nurse works with the patient/family to develop a plan of care No charges are made for nursing assessment visits and supervision of the home care aides Medicaid Waver Service PlanThese include: Referral and Medicaid eligibility required Physician orders/authorization is required Patient must be homebound Patient must require skilled, medically necessary, and intermittent or shift nursing to receive private duty nursing care For Medicaid recipients, Medicaid is billed directly...full costs of eligible services is covered by Medicaid Medicaid Waver Service PlanThese include: Eligibility and coverage is verified by RMG Health LLC Patient/family is financially responsible for services not covered by the insurance plan RMG Health will file insurance claims on your behalf.
